The parish policy is that inserts will only be used if there is a registration/return form on them or it is a last minute item that we were not able to publicize in the bulletin. Parish groups should plan to run information in the bulletin and provide posters for the bulletin boards at least two weeks prior to an event. This will help promote their event much better than a one—time flyer. Pulpit announcements should not be needed or used for regularly scheduled events if this process of promotion is followed. We try to limit announcements so that we do not take away from the celebration of the Mass.
