In December 2019, Bishop Bradley will travel to Rome for what is known as the "Ad Limina" visit which includes a personal meeting with Pope Francis as well as a number of meetings with various Vatican offices and time for liturgy and prayer. The title of the visit comes from the Latin phrase "Ad Limina Apostolorum" which means "to the thresholds of the apostles" and is a reference to the pilgrimage to the tombs of St. Peter and St. Paul which all bishops are required to make.
The time Bishop Bradley will have with Pope Francis and the other Vatican officials will be opportunity for him to represent the work of the faithful in the Diocese of Kalamazoo.
In order to express our love and gratitude to the Holy Father for his ministry as the shepherd of the Universal Church we wish to create a spiritual bouquet for him from all the faithful of the Diocese of Kalamazoo. A "spiritual bouquet" is a combination of devotional acts and/or prayers a person commits to do and/or pray on behalf of another person in honor of a special occasion. You may do this individually or as a family. Please to send your wishes, please see https://diokzoo.org/spiritual-bouquet and complete the online form by December 2nd.
