Congratulations! One of the most important things that you can do for your children is to bring them up in your Catholic faith. Please fill out the form on this page, and we will be able to start the process for this wonderful sacrament.
If you are currently registered here, you need only fill out the Baptism form. If you are new to our parish - Welcome! We ask that you also complete our registration form which can be filled out by clicking here.
To have your baby baptized here at St. Joseph Parish, we require that you attend a Baptism Preparation class. Classes are held on an individual basis with Deacon Phil Sirk via Zoom or Google Meets. Once we have received your Baptismal form, Dcn. Phil will contact you directly to set up a class for your family. If this is not your first baby and you have already attended a Baptism Preparation class, either here or at another Catholic Church, we do not require that you attend a second one.
If you are registered at another parish, we will require that you have permission from your pastor. Please let your parish know and they will help you with the letter.
We will ask you for the names of one or two sponsors or Godparents. Godparents are Catholic witnesses to your child's Baptism. If one of the individuals you would like to have for a Godparent is not Catholic, he or she can be what is called a Christian Witness. Godparents must be practicing Catholics who are not the child's parents and are at least sixteen years old. Christian Witnesses must be Christian and at least sixteen years old.
For scheduling the date of your child's Baptism, we will contact you after you have submitted the online request on the righthand side of this page. Baptisms are held in the Downtown Church on Sundays, after our 10:00 am Mass, at 11:00 am. Please note there is certain time of the year Baptisms do not occur the Parish Office will speak with you regarding these dates.
